New Initiatives. At this year’s Annual Conference the AMTE Professional Development Committee piloted two new initiatives.

• The Conference Ambassadors Initiative paired conference newcomers with experienced AMTE conference attendees as a way to assist those attending the conference for the first time.

• The Manuscript Review Groups allowed novice AMTE members to get feedback on one of their current manuscripts from AMTE members who had previously participated in similar review groups as part of the STaR program.

We received positive feedback regarding both initiatives and plan to continue them during the next conference. Watch for calls for participation in both initiatives as next year’s conference gets closer.
