Fall 2024

The 2024-2025 school year is under way, and we are excited to share so many opportunities! In this issue of Connections, we share our second set in a series of articles around Artificial Intelligence in Mathematics Teacher Education. We also share calls to write for the Mathematics Teacher Educator, join the Equity Book Club, and apply to the STaR program. And don't forget the annual conference is coming in February, and now is the time to start planning your attendance. Enjoy a busy but fulfilling month of September!

Summer 2024

As we say goodbye to the 2023-2024 school year, it's a great time for thought and reflection. This summer's edition of AMTE Connections intends to provide just that. We have our first set of articles around Artificial Intelligence and Mathematice Education. As we explore teaching ideas on artificial intelligence as well as its ethical and equity issues, we hope to provide new ideas for you to consider in your teaching and research. This issue also features a piece by Hyunyi Jung, AMTE's Early Career Award winner. And, don't forget to consider contributing to the journals that AMTE provides as we continue to learn and grow. We hope you have a restful, rewarding, and productive summer!

Spring 2024

Welcome to the Spring 2024 issue! We are fresh off an amazing annual conference where there were so many great ideas shared and so many projects started. Be sure to check out the highlights below, and we can't wait to see you in Reno next year! Also included in this issue is our special call for manuscripts focused on AI in mathematics teacher education. Be sure to submit your ideas by March 30th. And, Get the Facts Out has brand new information about their great resources for teacher recruitment. Enjoy this and updates from the CITE Math Journal, podcasts, affiliates, and the Membership Division. Finally, we would like to thank Susan Swars Auslander for her great leadership of AMTE Connections. We will miss her but are so excited about her new leadership role in the organization!

Winter 2023

The Winter 2023 issue includes a special call for Connections manuscripts focusing on AI in mathematics teacher education. Read about mathematics teacher educators’ collaborative efforts to design and implement a learning progression as well as a strategy for reducing negative self-talk within class sessions. Many thanks to our outgoing Executive Director, Shari Stockero, and included are plans for this role. You will find information on the upcoming annual conference, along with tips for making everyone feel welcome. Read about 2024 Award recipients, who will be recognized at the upcoming conference, as well as the accomplishments of the Get the Facts Out project focused on teacher recruitment. The STaR Program provides updates, along with those from CITE-Math journal, podcasts, affiliates, and the Membership Division.
