Rick Hudson is a Professor and Chair of the Mathematical Sciences Department at the University of Southern Indiana. He completed his doctoral studies at Indiana University – Bloomington in 2010. His research focuses primarily on the teaching and learning of statistics and data science; mathematics teacher knowledge and development; and mathematical practices. He is currently a co-PI on the NSF-funded grant entitled Collaborative Research: Enhancing Data Science and Statistics Teacher Education – Transforming and Building Community. He also is PI on a state-funded grant that focuses on providing educational experiences for dual-credit mathematics teachers and Quantitative Reasoning teachers. Rick has previously served AMTE as the AVP for the 2021 Annual Conference Program, and he is a member of the Hoosier Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators.
