We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Math Interventionist to join our dynamic educational team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting students in grades K-5 who are struggling with mathematics concepts. The Math Interventionist will work closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to develop and implement targeted interventions that enhance mathematical understanding and skills. This position is designed for an individual who is committed to fostering a positive learning environment, promoting student engagement, and driving academic success in mathematics.

Key Responsibilities

  - Conduct assessments to identify students' mathematical competencies, learning gaps, and specific needs.

  - Analyze assessment data to inform instruction and monitor student progress over time.

  - Provide small group and one-on-one instruction in math concepts and skills.

  - Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and make learning accessible.

  - Collaborate with classroom teachers to align interventions with core curriculum and support classroom instruction.

  - Work with special education staff to ensure that interventions are appropriately integrated into Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as needed.

  - Regularly track and document student progress, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary based on data-driven decisions.

  - Prepare and communicate progress reports to parents, teachers, and school administration.

  - Stay informed on best practices in mathematics instruction and interventions through professional development opportunities.

  - Share insights and strategies with colleagues to enhance overall math instruction within the school.

  - Create a positive and encouraging learning environment that fosters a love for mathematics.

  - Encourage perseverance and resilience in students facing challenges in math.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.

- Valid teaching certification, preferably with a focus on Elementary Education or Mathematics.

- Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly those with varying learning needs and abilities.

- Strong understanding of math curriculum standards and effective instructional strategies.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.

- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
