Make your plans now to attend the 2023 AMTE Annual Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, on February 2-4, 2023.
The AMTE Conference Committee in partnership with the Program Committee is excited to announce a few noticeable changes to this year’s upcoming conference and program! The conference will be held in New Orleans, LA at the Astor Crowne Plaza Hotel on the corner of Canal and Bourbon. This location means a quick walk to some of the best places to eat for dinner in the entire southern U.S. Come enjoy southern cuisine and connect with all your math teacher education friends and colleagues!
Exciting Changes to the Program Schedule
After many discussions and considerations, two noticeable changes will be present in this year’s program.
- The poster session will occur on Thursday afternoon. We believe this will provide doctoral students and early career scholars an opportunity to engage with our mid-career and seasoned experts much earlier in the conference. Snacks will be served concurrently, providing a rich opportunity for conversations for all. These discussions can then be carried into the reception for graduate students and early career faculty on Thursday evening.
- The AMTE leadership is moving the annual business meeting from lunch on Saturday to lunch on Friday. We hope this change will allow more attendees to engage with organizational leadership. Saturday’s lunch will engage participants in discussions around AMTE’s long-term goals.
A draft schedule has been posted to the conference website. Highlighted sessions along with these exciting changes include:
