Location
We are a state college located in Chadron, NE, a scenic college town with a population of approximately 5,700 located in Dawes County. State parks and outdoor recreational opportunities surround the college. The area offers campgrounds, hiking and biking trails, and some wonderful locations such as the Cowboy Trail, Chadron State Park, Toadstool Geological Park, Fort Robinson, and the Pine Ridge National Forest. Chadron is also conveniently located and just a short drive away from Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, Custer State Park, and the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota.
Dawes County has been selected as one of the nation’s top 100 counties to live and Chadron has plenty of amenities, including a nine-hole golf course, bowling alley, museums, eight parks, an indoor swimming pool and wellness center, an airport with service to Denver International Airport, and a public school system that consistently ranks high among its peer institutions. Chadron’s downtown offers a movie theatre where movies still cost less than $10, coffee shops, clothing stores, and several dining options.
Position Title: Math Instructor
Nature of Work:
Full-time Instructor in the Mathematical and Natural Sciences Department with primary teaching emphasis in transitional courses in Mathematics, and related areas, as assigned by the Dean. Proven teaching ability, knowledge in the use of technology for teaching and experience with online teaching and course authoring preferred. Willingness to teach online courses required. All courses in the Chadron State College Mathematics majors are offered entirely online. |
