Penn State Behrend invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track position in Mathematics Education and Mathematics to begin August 2018. Applicants must have a M.Ed., MAT, or M.S. in Mathematics or Mathematics Education (or related field). The applicant should have experience teaching middle or high school mathematics (grades 7-12), with a preference given to applicants with experience mentoring pre-service or early career teachers. Responsibilities will be divided between the mathematics education and mathematics departments and include: facilitating and supervising secondary mathematics education field students; completing and filing certification paperwork with the Pennsylvania Department of Education; teaching introductory curriculum and instruction courses associated with field components; teaching introductory mathematics courses in the algebra and precalculus sequence; performing scholarly activity; and service to the school and college. After initial appointment, this position is renewable, contingent upon enrollment demands and job performance.
