LCC’s Office of Academic Affairs has begun the search for a Dean of Mathematics and Engineering. The Mathematics and Engineering Division offers program specific, developmental, and transfer level math courses to meet the academic goals of Lane’s students. The Division offers a two year engineering program designed to transfer to a four year university. The purpose of this position is to fulfill the functions of division leadership and administration in a manner that promotes the quality of student learning, fiscal sustainability, collaboration with other college programs, staff development, and alignment with the College’s strategic directions.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Math Education, Engineering, Engineering Education, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher education OR Master’s degree in Educational Administration with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, or related math-based field from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Three (3) years of increasingly responsible administrative, management, and/or leadership experience in higher education.
