The Oregon State University Mathematics Department invites applications for up to three full-time positions at the rank of Instructor beginning September 16, 2019. These are non-tenure track annually renewable full-time positions with a base teaching load of twelve quarter courses per academic year (fall-winter-spring). Teaching load reductions are available for work assignments involving coordination of multi-section courses (particularly college algebra), curriculum development (including online courses), or other duties negotiated with the department head.
Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in mathematics or a closely related field, a commitment to diversity and inclusivity, and teaching experience at the college or university level. Preferred qualifications include a Ph.D. in mathematics or closely related field, evidence of impact in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusivity, demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken language, and training and/or experience with active learning pedagogy.
