Drew University in New Jersey seeks applicants for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor of Teacher Education position to begin July 2018, pending budgetary approval.  Primary teaching responsibilities will be in the Master of Arts in Teaching program. The MAT program is committed to critical pedagogy, social justice education, and clinically rich instruction. Our graduates are welcomed into a robust inservice teacher education network that supports their induction into the field.  Program faculty work directly with students as advisors, instructors, and mentors.

Requirements:
The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. or Ed.D in Curriculum and Instruction or related field. Responsibilities include teaching graduate education courses; scholarly research and publication; advising; collaborating with schools; collecting data and writing accreditation reports; and contributing to the administration of the teacher education programs and the life of the university.  Please note that faculty are expected to teach in the summer.

The successful candidate must also be able to teach in one or more of the following areas: instructional methods, assessment, special education, English as a second language/bilingual education, math/science pedagogy. The department seeks candidates who are accepting and affirming of all people. Preference will be given to candidates with experience as a successful middle and high school teacher/supervisor; experience with preparing teachers; a strong publication/presentation record; the ability to develop online or blended courses; a demonstrated commitment to diversity and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, and school-based personnel; expertise in math/science education; and experience with CAEP accreditation.
