The doctoral program at Central Michigan University is geared towards nurturing collegiate mathematics educators. The program enrolls doctoral students who then choose to conduct research in mathematics, statistics, or education. As a result, you will have the opportunity to take high level, rigorous mathematics classes with others who are interested in becoming mathematicians. You can also start your program unsure if you wish to become a mathematician, statistician, or mathematics educator (and decide in your first few years). Because of their strong mathematics backgrounds and focus on collegiate mathematics, 100% of our graduates are employed within mathematics departments.
