STaR Program Cohort Challenge

Announcing the STaR Program Fundraising “Cohort Challenge”

As in past years, the AMTE STaR Program Fundraising Committee is organizing the “STaR Cohort Challenge.” STaR Fellows cohorts (from 2010 through 2023) are challenged to raise funds in support of the 2024 Cohort of STaR Fellows, with the top goal of each cohort being able to sponsor one STaR Fellow ($1,700). The cohorts with the highest percentage of Fellow donations (at any level) and with the highest total raised will be recognized at the 2024 AMTE Conference and in the Spring 2024 issue of Connections!

More information on the STaR Cohort Challenge will be sent via email to former STaR Fellows. Designated liaisons from each STaR cohort will work with their colleagues to raise funds and, just as important, to reconnect as a group.

Do you need to have been a STaR Fellow to contribute? Of course not! AMTE members and other members of the mathematics education community can support the future of the STaR early-career induction program by making a contribution online using the STaR Fellows Donation Page. Note that AMTE is a not-for-profit organization, so your gift may be tax deductible.

The AMTE STaR Program supports the development of early career mathematics education faculty through opportunities to network and learn from leaders in the field. The most recent STaR cohort is shown below. The STaR Program is dependent on contributions from individuals, foundations, and professional organizations for its continued operation.
