AMTEC is a community of mathematics teacher educators in Connecticut. Our goal is to ensure an ample supply of high quality teachers of mathematics in Connecticut.
AMTEC continues to collaborate with fellow mathematics education leadership organizations ATOMIC and CCLM. Joint efforts include continued support of the state board of education approved “Equity in Mathematics Education: Joint Position Statement for Connecticut”. Additionally, this spring we will co-host a showing of the documentary film "Counted Out" for mathematics educators across the state. We also look forward to hosting our fourth annual preservice teacher conference and our spring conference and business meeting later in the semester.
